Hi all!

I'll be in the greater Boston area from Aug 6-15, both for work and for two weddings. Here's my current schedule:

Aug 5: Fly in late. Probably head to RI.
Aug 6: Likely spending the day in RI with my family, pending being able to get a day or two off that week.
Aug 7: Maybe more RI, maybe up to Boston to see people.
Aug 8: Wedding the First.
Aug 9: Work, book group in evening
Aug 10: Work
Aug 11: Work
Aug 12: Work, Poker Night
Aug 13: Work, rehearsal dinner for Wedding the Second.
Aug 14: ???
Aug 15: Wedding the Second.
Aug 16: Fly back to IND in the morning.

This looks like a lot of time but it actually isn't. :/ There will clearly need to be a Mary's mob in there somewhere, Wednesday may be crowded since the week prior is the Week of Tuesdays, maybe the 14th sometime? Or I guess the 12th would work as well in between work and poker. (I am gonna be hella bedraggled dragging myself in to work on Friday. But I can't not go to Poker Night.) If anyone has other suggestions, I'd appreciate them; also, while I'm comfortable getting around on foot and by train, if anyone has a bike I could borrow, that would be awesome. Maybe I should ask Tyler if I can rent one?

Oh I should get my hair re-pinked (just a dye job, the cut's fine for now) and buy something worthy of bridesmaiding in, too. If I'm feeling really adventurous, maybe I will let my mother take me clothes shopping. ... Maybe. :)

Yay visiting boston! I am free for breakfasts & lunches most days. Dinners are dicier, since I pretty much feel like hell warmed over by about 4.

Nope -- they're all about the same. And I think the Friendly Toast in Kendall Sq (in the cursed restaurant location across from CBC and Flattop Johnny's) has vegan-friendly breakfast options.

That sounds familiar, though I definitely need a trim and am only debating whether to re-dye also. I would be interested to hear what you're thinking of wearing, or just what you end up with. (I received hilarious email to the effect of 'am I going to be the only one in the wedding party wearing pants?', so I am now dreadfully curious as to everyone else's plans.)

I'm going to be in the Boston area packing stuff sometime in August, but probably later than your visit. (Especially given that I don't know when yet ⇒ haven't bought airplane tickets yet ⇒ will presumably pay through the nose for them and the more so the sooner it is.)

I'm pretty sure that [personal profile] ranyart and I are going to go to Mary's on the 14th at some point.

I can loan you my bike. It just got a tune-up from Tyler.

When do you want to meet up at my place in Central to see if it fits you?

Oooh, that would be rockin', thanks!

Probably sometime Saturday or Sunday? Worst case I can grab it on Monday since I'll be around Central for work anyway. I'll be in touch; it's hard to know until I get plans with my parents ironed out.

OK. Saturday is completely full right now.
Sunday I'm free before 3:30pm or after 5pm right now.
Monday I work 9-5 in the suburbs, but I'll be home by 6pm.

I would fear letting my mother take me clothes shopping. Your relationship with your mother makes even less sense to me than mine, though.

Good luck!

I fear letting my mother take me clothes shopping, just possibly for different reasons. :)

I usually bring my own helmet and lock when I am going to be borrowing a bike, Just To Be Sure. But I might snag yours if I don't have luggage room for that.
