Catgirl Goth Rave: Make Art!

raxOh hey! I should post about this!
If you make art --- installation ravey sorta stuff, something to put on the wall, glowy glowy glowy things that sparkle --- hell, if you just wanna make a bunch of cat ears and save me some time --- I'll totally fund it if the budget is modest. (I have a side job, but fundamentally I'm in grad school and have to save for the years I might not have a side job but still have a house and long-distance relationships.) I guess I'd pick and choose things that were goth catgirl themed if twenty people were like "pick me pick me" but I'm guessing only one or two of you are psyched to do something crazy and random for catgirl goth rave on only a month's notice. Feel free to prove me wrong though?
If you're not sure if something's appropriate or not, feel free to ask me. I'm a big fan of Parties Should Have Glowy LED Shiny Things! But I would also be a fan of stuff that subverted the Raver Toy genre, especially if it's also catgirl-thematic. I don't know if I'm going to get around to making anything super exciting this year, although I will hopefully at least make some costume modifications, and of course I will make sure there are ample standard glowsticks.
Despite moving cities this may be the biggest Catgirl Goth Rave yet. Holy crap. Oh my zomg. There may be double digits of people coming in from out of town. And not Berkeley out of town, like, Boston out of town. If you don't have plans for December 18th and it's reasonable for you to get to San Francisco, you should come.

Get together with your friends and chart out the course of your party together!" It would also be an advertisement I guess. :P
Actually I like that idea for a party favor in general (although I feel a little weird about splitting decks, despite being super far from a Tarot traditionalist). Something to keep in mind. I think I would feel less weird about splitting your deck mostly because I already have individual cards from it on my wall? "although also because I do not imagine Waite looking at me very crossly and condeming me to drawing the seven of cups every time I want a straight answer for the rest of time"

I wonder if it'd be better to have one large installation that can be put together and taken apart several times, or little small ones that people can take home? I suppose the latter might be more expensive if there are lots of people attending.

What if there was... what if there was a goth-catgirl-themed CCG you could hand out packs of at the door? I designed a few jokey card games one time before, I could probably knock up a PDF deck you can print out.
I'll need some card idea inspiration, is the only thing, I am pretty much an outsider to the goth culture, the catgirl culture, and their intersection. What are the core concepts I'm looking at here?

Date: 2010-11-16 04:57 pm (UTC)In order to save time, I will probably resort to black-and-white sketchy artwork (unless somebody has suitable images they don't mind me using?), but I'll try not to make them too ugly! At least some sort of nice-looking card back should be doable. I'll also fit the rules onto a couple of cards so that people can just pick up a deck and have everything they need to play.

На сегодняшний день практически у каждого пользователя интернета есть как минимум один аккаунт в какой-либо социальной сети. Конечно же все знают такого гиганта как Facebook. В российском сегменте лидером явно является социальная сеть «В контакте», о которой иногда я пишу заметки. Этот пост тоже будет о этой социальной сети, а точнее о раскрутке в ней. Сегодняшняя тема будет посвящена программе для раскрутки аккаунтов в этой социальной сети с помощью программы Викинг Ботовод. О том, что она умеет и как её получить читаем ниже.
Программа Викинг Ботовод, на мой взгляд, является очень хорошим инструментом для раскрутки аккаунтов и групп «В контакте».
Программа умеет следующее:
Добавлять друзей (по критериям, по спискам id, по возможным друзьям или же из групп)
Транслировать RSS поток на «стену» (скармливаем программе RSS и она будет писать на стену новые записи)
Управлять сразу несколькими аккаунтами (в программе есть встроенный браузер, с помощью которого не придется вводить по несколько раз пароли от страниц — можно просто переключаться между аккаунтами, использую мышь)
Поддержка сервиса antigate.com для распознавания капчи
Постинг информации на стены и в группы по расписанию (можно задать что писать и когда, а затем уже не задумываться что и где надо написать)
«Ботовод» будет полезен всем владельцам сайтов, с его помощью можно без особого труда увеличивать свою аудиторию. Трансляция RSS потоков будет очень по душе блоггерам, это ведь так удобно — не нужно руками нажимать на кнопки, всё сделает сама программа.
