Unfortunately the Monday time became unavailable while I was planning for it, so it looks like we're all headed over, at least all of us who can make it, on Wednesday. I will hopefully get there a little before 7; I'll be coming from UMass Boston, so I might bike or might take the T depending on how I feel that day. I think Wednesday still works for most people, which is good, but if it doesn't work for people I can try to get something open some other day in another week or two (I know this doesn't work for N, I should send mail). No need to RSVP, but I am curious who all is showing up, so if you want to let me know you'll be there, cool.

Also, graduate school started, and I am still in that phase where I think I can start getting ahead of the game and do the first two or three weeks worth of homework this week. I'm taking Literature of the End of the World and LIterary Editing and Publishing (whose final project is printing a book, like actually, for reals). I'm reading The Gutenberg Galaxy by Marshall McLuhan and aside from some troubling Orientalism he is totally rocking my world. The troubling stuff is troubling, though, dealing with the core of the book while also dealing with weird declarative statements about ethnic groups is weird... Oddly, both of my classes have me wanting to re-watch King Lear before Wednesday; is there a good film version? (Or a performance in Boston this weekend? :) ) Also also I need to watch The Seventh Seal for my Literature of the End of the World class in the next couple of weeks; anyone interested in a showing?

Coming to look at tarot cards. Also, wouldn't mind watching The Seventh Seal again if you watch it sometime that I am free. It might be neat to talk to people about it.

*puts it in the calendar* - that's the 10th, right?

edit: also, do you mind if I post about this on my LJ, for people who couldn't make it to the opening?

It's definitely the 10th, though the fact that I checked with "cal 2008"
instead of turning my head to look at the calendar makes me a little
sad. And feel free to post in your journal, the more the merrier! I'm
considering dragging people to Mary's afterward as well, as I haven't
been there in ages, though I don't know if they'll have any food you
will want. :)

Hey, I don't even HAVE a physical calendar hanging up. I think I have one sitting around but I've never hung it.

I'll manage to find something to nibble on, or maybe just say goodbye and fuck off home for a pizza afterwards.

Oh, and if you do end up pulling something else together, the show comes down after the 19th, so there's only one week after the coming week.

At least one of the people who wasn't sure about Wednesday (N) now can
make it, so we may only need the one time after all. And only the 19th?
Oh man I need to get to work freeing up wall space...

Cool.

We also need to do the stuff involving History - I am thinking that it could work very neatly if you toss me the funds next week, then I con you into using your van to haul the pieces home late on the 19th and put your framed piece in the back once we unload here...

I think we might have a plan. I also think I can get you the funds even
sooner than next week! Muahaha. That even lets me pick up my gallery
pieces without further effort...

Literature of the End of the World sounds especially exciting. A smorgusboard of eschatological strife, no doubt!

Ooh, I would totally watch The Seventh Sign with you! I love Demi Moore!

Just kidding. Not a huge Bergman fan, but I did enjoy Seventh Seal.
